My work is defined by a distinctive language of color and texture, developed through specialized techniques that seek to offer a contemporary yet deeply emotional form of expression.
I created my painting The New World shortly after the August 4 Beirut port explosion, as a survivor, I chose this title to reflect a fragile but persistent hope that, even in the face of devastation, pain, and loss, renewal and brighter days remain possible. I also used bright, vibrant colors as an expression of my belief in the beauty of the world and of life.
At the time, I believed, or needed to believe that this would be the final painful chapter of our lives.
Through my work, I respond to the emotional and psychological realities we are living through today again, shaped by war, uncertainty, and resilience. It reflects my experience as both an artist and a survivor, and my ongoing effort to transform pain into expression while holding on to hope, love, and peace.
For me, art is a way of resisting despair, of transforming sorrow into form, and fear into something that can be seen, felt, and understood.
I hold on to the belief that love and peace remain our most powerful forces, even in the darkest times.
No matter the circumstances, I will always choose love, hope and peace.
