As a British and Canadian citizen, I choose to remain in Lebanon during this time of conflict, not despite it, but because of it. Just as beauty and strength emerge through suffering, my presence here is not a denial of reality, but a conviction that within tension lies the possibility of transformation.
As a clinical psychologist and collage artist, my art work explores a psychoanalytical metamorphosis in which consciousness offers vibrant imagery, while the unconscious reveals the tumultuous chaos concealed beneath.
The compositions I created just before this period speak to a movement toward revival and growth. Emerging from the shadows of destruction, my collages trace Lebanon’s journey from death to renewal. They are acts of internal reconstruction, confronting what haunts us and still choosing to bloom.
