MA Osseiran Collection, in collaboration with Beirut Black Kat, presents Akram Zavê’s exhibition “A Thousand Faces” at Rebirth Beirut, Gemmayze.
THE STORY BEHIND "A THOUSAND FACES"
In A Thousand Faces, Akram Zavê turns the face into a vessel for emotional states rather than individual identity. His repeated, overlapping figures trace the quiet logic of family: how people hold, shape, burden, and define one another over time. Neither illustrating stories nor naming characters, Zavê reveals the conditions in which stories form, the invisible negotiations of closeness. These works invite recognition rather than interpretation, reflecting on how family shapes us not through grand events, but through a tilt of the head, a repeated gesture, an inherited silence.
