An exploration of the Arabic language beyond verbal communication: as a living structure through which reality reveals itself.

Drawing from Ibn Arabi’s writings on ʿilm al-ḥurūf (the science of letters), the performance approaches letters, sounds, and divine names not merely as linguistic forms, but as structures carrying cosmological and ontological significance.

Through the arabic root ش هـ د, the performance moves through layers of witnessing, presence, and testimony; unfolding the Shahada as both the reason for existence and the means through which existence sustains itself.

Combining narration, cooking acts, and sculptural food, the audience is invited to experience language not only as something spoken, but as something continuously in a state of creation.
