A play by Shady Haber
“Da’a Shadi” (Shadi Was Lost) unfolds between 1976 and 1990, tracing a true story of a child raised in the heart of war, where memory burns, images disappear, and childhood is stolen. As an adult, Shadi returns to the ruins of his past, through fragments, voices, and buried moments, trying to reconstruct a self that was never allowed to fully exist.
Blending theatre and documentary, the performance becomes a raw act of witnessing: an intimate, unfiltered testimony of a generation fractured by war, still struggling to reclaim its identity from loss, silence, and forgetting.
