Impressions is a visual meditation on the feminine spirit - fluid, resilient, and ever-evolving. Through a series of underwater photographs, Lara Zankoul captures bodies immersed in sometimes serene, sometimes turbulent waters, suspended between movement and stillness. These feminine forms, draped in flowing textiles, evoke themes of creation, regeneration, and tenderness.

Water becomes both subject and medium: a space of transformation, a womb-like environment where the boundaries between body and emotion blur. Zankoul uses the texture and refraction of water to create a painterly effect—merging photography with the softness and abstraction of painting.

Lara Zankoul is a Lebanese fine art photographer known for her surreal, dreamlike images. Based in Beirut, she blends storytelling, vibrant colors, and intricate details to create thought-provoking compositions. Though trained in economics, she pursued photography as a form of artistic expression. Since 2014, Zankoul has exhibited her work internationally and been featured in top publications like Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, reflecting her unique voice in both art and fashion.
